2017 Ojai Real Estate Year In Review

Posted

While it’s hard to find words to describe the emotional upheaval that descended upon our Ojai Valley this past month, one thing for sure is that 2017 came to a screeching halt.

The Thomas Fire was absolutely horrific for our valley, severely impacting many of our friends and neighbors.  I know we’re all unified in our gratitude for the hard work of thousands of first responders and the many organizations working to help those in need.

We count our blessings. That we not only survived the fire, but overall, had an amazing year!  Despite the continued low inventory, we’re proud to have helped over 30+ families move and achieve their Real Estate goals and made many new meaningful relationships in the process.

A few key highlights in our 2017 Ojai Real Estate Year End analysis include the List Price to Sales Price ratio holding steadily at a respectful  97.5 %, with an average of 108 days on the market.  The average price per square foot of all homes sold this year was $484 with a median sales price of $702,000.

We’re excited about 2018, and look for it to be another steady year for real estate.  So please let us know how we can be of help to you,  and we hope you’ll also share with your friends that Michaels & McClung are the go-to professional Team for Ojai Real Estate.

We close with heartfelt appreciation for your continued support.  May the New Year bring fresh inspiration, good health and plenty of opportunities to make a difference.

Like many of us We’re not slowing down in 2018. But we could really use your help to make it another fantastic year!

In Gratitude,

Char, Sharon & Jerry
